A Child’s Garden preschool and kindergarten, a Waldorf inspired program, situated in beautiful Bend Oregon. Founded in 1998 and has grown over the years to include the Daisies, toddler class, three preschools, the Blue Jay kindergarten, extended care and a Summer program. The kindergarten has its own house on Wells Acres Road approximately 1 mile from the preschools where personal ownership, as in chores and gardening, are a big part of the program.
Our goal is to provide quality programs, inspired by the Waldorf philosophy, in a warm, calm, nurturing environment in which the imagination and creativity of the child will flourish. We will promote reverence and respect toward nature, our toys, classrooms and our relationships with our classmates, teachers and family. At A Child’s Garden we will create an environment in which the child can grow and learn through his/her imitation of the healthy experiences around them in daily life. Laying the foundation for the wonder of learning and teaching them the skills needed for their life's work of discovery.
Our community of enthusiastic and dedicated teachers work, to foster in each child a lifetime love of learning through our daily rhythm, which integrates arts, music, movement, crafts, drama and through play guides and support the children as they grow.
